Ultimate revenge against girls!

Seething after you learned about your girlfriend's infedility? Don't break her nose, give her a gift! The perfect one at that! A beautiful bikini . The catch? It dissolves on contact with water! Get her to wear the bikini, push her into water. Publicly humiliate her! And yeah, good luck with that court case! From spike.com via Reddit : The sexy black swimsuit looks like a real bikini, feels like a real bikini and fits like a real bikini. The only difference is it’s made from a material that completely melts away after a few seconds in water. Named the "Get Naked Bikini", the item is being marketed as the ultimate form of revenge for recently dumped dudes. The bikini has upset womens' rights groups, with one campaigner, Rosmarie Zapfl, saying, “It is an absolute insult to women that this has been invented.” Posted via web from Pain on the Posterior

BBC's 100 books tag

No tag for too long. Interested folks can take this up! The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books here. How do your reading habits stack up? I dug around couldn't find the info about that number 6. But here is the original post . Instructions: Copy this. Look at the list and put an 'x' after those you have read. Tag other book nerds. Paradise is lonelier than you think

Roel Robles had been on Pagasa Island for less than a week when he found himself wondering, with something like despair: Is it possible for one white-beached, palm-studded place to be both heaven and hell, paradise and prison? "When you first get there, you see this little island resort," said the 30-year-old sergeant in the Philippine National Police. "Then after about five days, something snaps. You begin telling yourself, 'I have to get out of here -- now, today.' " Pagasa plays tricks with your mind. Its few dozen inhabitants can walk around the pint-sized perimeter in 30 minutes. From its highest point, nine feet above sea level, they gaze out at turquoise seas all around. It's a stunning view. But it's the same view, day after day. For the government in Manila, however, all that matters is that it's a Philippine view. Pagasa may be a 75-acre speck of sand and rock, but that hasn't stopped a swarm of countries from battling ...

Monsoon and Mallus

Got a forward with a lot of monsoon pics with Malayalam quotes. Some are cheesy, some are classy. Whats with our obsession and love with rains? May be its the climate. Fucking hot and humid for nearly half the year. Rains come as a welcome relief. Even when it wrecks havoc, we wallow in the love. I tend to think of different possibility. We are possibly the most uptight folks in India as little as I have seen. We don't laugh at any buffoonery, needs a really stiff kick on the back to laugh. Just go for a run of the mill Bollywood comedy movie. Those folks would be doubling up with laughter and we are like 'Duh!' Steering back to the topic. We are so uptight that we find rain to be liberating. We associate rain with outpouring of our emotions without actually doing so. We get that liberated feeling by associating ourselves with rain. Liberation of our joy, pain, pleasure, lust... Or...Am I the only mallu who see rain in this way? Should seek professional help then! See and d...

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and other Alices'

via radaronline.com Wish March, 2010 was closer. Alice in Wonderland always delighted me in both childish and perverse ways. I was engrossed by cartoon series shown on Doordashan years back. Later in my teens, I found a very old copy of the book (including the sequel Through the looking Glass ) in my Grandfather's bookshelf during my routine book hunt. I devoured the book immediately and felt there was something edgy about it. Though an innocent tale, it gave me some violent and sexual vibes. Ten years later, I realized I was not the only one. A full blown porn movie set in Alice in Wonderland universe, Alice in Wonderland: An X-Rated Musical Fantasy . Surreal movie to be frank. Actors break into song and dance, that too the most bizarre ones. Highly recommended over your run of the mill porn flick. Yet another perverted Alice story is the video game American McGee's Alice . Not for kids this one. Will permanently harm them. This is about a psychotic ...

Dispatches - Terror in Mumbai (Full video+download)

via vimeo.com A must see video. I had posted this earlier, but YouTube took it down. This version in Vimeo is much better. The entire video is available as a single file. You can view in its entirety or better still download and watch in your time. You need to register in Vimeo to download the file. Another option is to log in using Facebook Connect. The inhuman carnage is made even more painful by the calm demeanor in which the terrorists carry out their task. Relevant to all of us since Ajmal Kasab is on trial with a whole lot of courtroom tamasha. I would also like to show a finger or two to those who say that Ajmal should be hanged now in public. We are a civilized kind or at least pretend to be so. A trial is a privilege we give to all the accused and more importantly a trial can bring out much more credible information than the case of a confession secured by torture. The sheer mental agony is the best medicine to break down a person. Posted via w...

3 stages of life

We have 3 stages of life………..   Teenage: Have Time + Energy …but No Money   Working Age: Have Money + Energy …but No Time       Old age: Have Time + Money …but no Energy   Got this as a forward. I would change teenage to the phase before work. It is apt unless you are guy/gal born to pretty rich parents. We had so much time and so much fun with so little money. 99 rupees for 4 dinner scheme at local restaurants (thattukada). One Appy to rule all our throats. One beer to quench for thirst. Today? Not hesitating to spend 500-1000 on one meal just for oneself. No time for everyone to gather and go on that ever elusive trip. Booze is for drowning the pressures and to subjugate the worries. via arstechnica.com Damn! I am half inclined to go bankrupt to buy an XBox 360 and this game! It seems to be so promising! Confirmed track list shows some intriguing songs apart from my favourites. Within you, Without you takes the cake. Sitar solos! Tabla jams! If done right, that would be awesome! Paperback Writer, Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, With a little help from my friends, the lists rolls on and on. The artwork is sublime. Modern day caveman

His dwelling, hidden high in a canyon lined with waterfalls, is an hour by foot from the desert town of Moab, Utah, where people who know him are of two minds: He's either a latter-day prophet or an irredeemable hobo. Suelo's blog, which he maintains free at the Moab Public Library, suggests that he's both. "When I lived with money, I was always lacking," he writes. "Money represents lack. Money represents things in the past (debt) and things in the future (credit), but money never represents what is present." via men.style.com A must read article. Inspiring! Aah! Schadenfreude Reloaded!

via cricinfo.com Take a bow Freddie! You deserve it! Ashes. Lords. Farewell. It could not be scripted better! The mighty Aussies gone down and my prediction of this Ashes resembling the last India-Australia series starting to come good. England scratching out a draw in the first match and going on to win the series. I hope it turns out that way rather than like 1997 Ashes, where England went from 1-0 to lose the series 1-2. Then again, 1997 Aussie side had McGrath and Warne. Schadenfreude? I have a strong dislike for Ponting and his Aussie side. Far cry from the Steve Waugh side. Ponting's side come off as an annoying prick rather than the Godly side that Waugh led. A side against which you were helpless and they showed the exact right amount of arrogance to suit. An apt comparison would be Sreesanth's antics and McGrath's antics. Posted via web from Pain on the Posterior

Get ready for Shyamaprasad's Rithu

His new film, Rithu (Seasons), is a buddy tale that blooms in the changing social and emotional landscape of a small south Indian town. Three childhood friends, who grew up in the same neighborhood and went to same school and college, weave up their dreams about life together. Sarat, Varsha, and Sunny were inseparable in their love, bonding, and innocence. Sarat and Varsha grew fond of each other, in a more internal and less physical manner. Sunny is more like a brother to Sarat. To raise money to achieve their dreams, Sarat leaves for California to live and work. The other two take up jobs in Bangalore. Three years later, they return to the throes of their changing hometown. After an emotional reunion and a sweet build-up of hopes, each finds that beneath their camaraderie, they had actually outgrown their old selves.  via movies.rediff.com My cousin is working on the post production of this movie and he is raving about it. Dear Dr. Laura...

via imgur.com Found this in Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/atheism/comments/9210k/this_person_takes_religion_very_seriously/ Lot more history behind this letter in Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/drlaura.asp Pretty relevant to us, thanks to the hullabaloo associated with decriminalization of Article 377. This snippet deals with the church, but the similar stuff can be made to counter all the concerned sky-daddy worshipers. Religion should exist for the people, not the other way around. Those saying homosexuality is unnatural lives in a la-la land. Bhramaram: The Disquieting Buzz

via youtube.com Watched Bhramaram last Sunday. I wanted to plonk down some multiplex money on the movie as the reports have been pretty good. But my fear of getting to know the entire story made we watch it while I was in Kerala. Money well spent and won't hesitate to watch it again from a plushy multiplex as opposed to the stench I subjected myself to watch the movie. Bhramaram heralds the return of form for two people Malayalam cinema needs badly. Mohanlal and Blessy, with the latter being even more important. After a couple of woeful outings in the form of Red Chillies and Sagar Alias Jacky, Mohanlal returns what he does best. Acting, as opposed to dressing up and walking up and down. The life of the movie is Mohanlal and its his show all the way. A good thing this time, as the other actors are at best par and many of them below par. The story is simple and the movie moves along at a crisp pace. The movie is about love, redemption, and revenge. Locations are fabulous and fres...

Situations Vacant! #mallu

But who will go for it? For the Malayalam challenged, the new report is about a job advertisement seeking Coconut tree climbers. A very lucrative position from my experience. The money offered is pretty decent, but a decent freelancer can earn much more than that. We had a coconut tree in our house till last month (acquired by the Government and will be cut down soon for widening the road). We had a hard time finding somebody to pluck the coconuts. We had a friendly neighbourhood coconut plucker (thandaan), but after he passed away its been really hard. His son finds this job demeaning and waste of energy. Instead he spends his time as a CITU head load worker. As a CITU worker, he needn’t move a muscle and earn a livelihood from the fee gets for allowing others to unload the goods in the locality. The man could have easily earned a lot more if he wanted to work hard. Easy life and scot free money. No wonder people say Malayalees work...

Alternate strip - The Calvin and Hobbes

One curious incident in the early publication of Calvin and Hobbes was the use of an alternate strip for the printed collections from November 28 , 1985 . The strip that has been published in the Calvin and Hobbes books is a different one than appeared in newspapers on that day. The original apparently still has not seen print, even with the recent release of The Complete Calvin and Hobbes . The original strip for November 28, 1985, as it appeared in newspapers.
